On December 26th, 2018, we made the short trek over to Conrail's Freehold Industrial track. We started our chase in the town of Helmetta, then the train went off to work some industries on the Dayton and Hightstown branches. Later on that night, we caught back up with the train as they entered Englishtown heading for Freehold. We also caught some of their return trip to Browns Yard in Sayrevill...

On December 15th, 2018, Conrail held their annual Santa Train run from their Browns Yard in Sayerville, NJ. The train made stops at Jamesburg and Freehold to distribute toys to children before returning to Browns Yard in the afternoon. This year the train was powered by CSX GP40-2 #4412 and Norfolk Southern GP38-2 #5285. Enjoy, and Merry Christmas!

November 12th, 2018 found SA-31 nearby on the Freehold Industrial track with a newcomer to the line, in the form of CSX GP38-2S #6159. The train also consisted of a gondola, a real rarity for this section of track.

On August 31st, 2018, as part of our adventure in the south, we chased the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad's Nantahala Gorge excursion. This run was powered by the railroad's 2-8-0 #1702, a former U.S. Army steam locomotive. Bringing up the rear was EMD GP9 #1751 and GP30 #2647. Enjoy, and stay tuned for more videos coming soon!

On September 1st, 2018, we ventured out far away from home to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, home to two operating Southern steam locomotives, 2-8-0 #630, which we rode behind on the Missionary Ridge Local this day, and 2-8-2 Mikado #4501, which is seen in this video on our chase to Summerville, GA through the vast southern countryside.
